Congratulatory  advertisement in the Naha [ North American Hairstyling Awards] Tribute Journal that was handed out to audience at night of the awards in Las Vegas.

This Naha Fashion Collection was shot away from the main studio white cove that we were shooting the rest of  our collections in that day . I found an old  abundant dusty storage room in the back and  thought it would go well with the clothing and the hair. I do like the way this one shot – It is very hard to pull off the ” army ” look but I think we did it on tis shoot – it has the right feel for me.  I re photographed the published collection hanging off a rope rather than just putting up the PDF as i don’t think the lay out of the spread is very clever . We stopped our fashion photo shoot today so the model could feed his snake pet. It made for a nice break and a quick photo opportunity .

I used  a 135 mm lens with a extender to get this close up shot. The extender  is added between the lens and the body , has no glass in it and lets you move closer to the subject while still maintaining the focus. It is some times confused with a teleconverter or a doubler which is used to increase the focal length of a lens usually for far a way subjects . A Babak Photo 2010

The G20  - Toronto  - June 2010  - all the controversy and the  $1.2 billon security expense but just another summer event to be enjoyed.

A quick shoot at the G20 fence area at night. Thanks to the officers for helping with the lighting and the local Italian restaurant for lending us the table cloth for us to use as the top for the model ! A babak Photo – Friday June 25 / 2010

Me and model going up next to a poster I shot.

I knew this would make a interesting  photo when i saw the size and the placement of the banner, so I asked Felix to take position a cross the floor he then  arm him self with the 70 -200 mm and wait for us to come up the escalator . We had to do this ride   3-4  times to get the escalator empty on a busy show day. Needles to say we got a lot of looks from people attending the busy show since no one could see  Felix’s positioned were wondering what the hell we were doing . With me  and the model in the photo the size of the poster is more dramatized.
